POSITION PURPOSE

 

The Event Planner - Goodyear is responsible for delivering best in class event experiences for Andersen customers, target audiences, and employees, primarily at our Goodyear, Arizona facility. This position is responsible for the development and execution of internal and external events, tradeshows, and meetings.  The Sr. Event Planner must have experience in the end-to-end planning of an event with strong project management skills, including developing and managing budgets and timelines.  This role will also develop workplans, lead planning meetings and interface with senior leaders to provide frequent status updates. We are looking for a good communicator and a team player who will be a strong and positive addition to the Andersen Events and Experience team.

 

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Manage all aspects of assigned events through their lifecycle, including but not limited to: strategy, project management, milestones, experience design and execution, budget management, registration, data management and reporting, and all other logistics within virtual, hybrid or in-person events.
  • Act as internal Conference service Manager for the meeting space at our Goodyear facility. Manage incoming meeting requests, scheduling, catering, room diagrams, AV and meeting room best practices.
  • Deliver against established milestones to achieve stakeholder goals, contributing to long-term strategic vision and process development.
  • Develop and own relationships with internal stakeholders, agencies, and vendors to ensure best-in-class work is consistently delivered.
  • Effectively manage resources to deliver against competing event schedules.
  • Use program data to drive ROI and measure the effectiveness of program initiatives, program processes, operational execution.
  • Support the advancement of a strategic meeting management practices across Andersen to optimize the event infrastructure by designing and strengthening operational, analytical, and financial processes.
  • Think strategically and creatively, with a willingness to "roll up your sleeves" to ensure flawless execution of events.

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION, SKILL AND/OR COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

 

 

  • Minimum 3+ years professional meeting and event planning experience. 

 

  • Ability to establish relationships within a matrix organization; work with various levels of organization, including leadership. 

 

  • Effective communication and presentation skills (with and to Executives, Marketing peers, and to external audiences).

 

  • Demonstrated leadership skills.

 

  • A highly collaborative work style with strong ability to influence and build consensus across virtual and in-person teams.

 

  • Ability to work independently under own direction and initiative.

 

  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.

 

  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.

  • Advanced computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Prior experience with event management registration system, Cvent.

 

  • Ability to travel (up to 25%). Flexibility in work schedule is required (to include evenings and weekends, as needed). 

 

  • May require standing for long periods, walking great distances and ability to lift and move boxes up to 40 lbs.

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

During 2022, each eligible Andersen employee will receive $1,000 for each full fiscal quarter they are actively employed and fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
