PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for providing technical support to the manufacturing organization at our Renewal by Andersen location in Cottage Grove, MN. Primary focus will be on monitoring, controlling, and improving existing manufacturing processes, and to ensure customer and business needs are met.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide operational technical support for existing applications and processes
- Work with operations, quality, engineering, and maintenance to solve issues using root cause problem solving tools
- Troubleshoot problems with other technical employees, suppliers, and outside experts
- Drive corrective action through root cause identification and structured problem solving
- Create training tools, documents, and standard operating procedures for production processes
- Provide training, instruction, and guidance to production associates
- Partner with the Safety group to ensure all new or modified processes meet or exceed corporate safety requirements
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and events
- Accurately assess ergonomic conditions within the manufacturing environment and provide practical solutions to eliminate ergonomic risk
- Offer assistance/mentor for less experienced technical employees
- Conduct testing related to introducing product improvements into the manufacturing process
- Responsible for supporting the implementation and stabilization of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- 2-year degree in technical field or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing principals
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Communicate effectively through written, verbal, listening, and presentation skills
- Knowledge of 2D & 3D solid modeling preferred (AutoCad/Inventor)
- Some travel may be required, primary location Cottage Grove, MN
- 5+ years of experience preferred with mechanical aptitude

During 2022, each eligible Andersen employee will receive $1,000 for each full fiscal quarter they are actively employed and fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
