Description & Requirements

SHIFT: 12 hour; Thursday- Saturday and every other Wednesday 

PURPOSE: To provide Technical support to Fibrex and Blending Manufacturing Processes and Equipment to resolve manufacturing and/or equipment issues to maximize production outputs in safe and respectful work environment across multiple local manufacturing sites. Support Research Design & Innovation (RD&I) group on Product/Process development.

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Diagnose and Resolve Twin Screw and/or Single Screw Process issues.
  • Diagnose and Resolve Blender operation issues.
  • Perform changeovers of Twin Screws and Coupling to Gearbox; 92mm lines.
  • Diagnose and Resolve Blender material transfer issues.
  • Single Screw & Barrel Removal, Installation, and Inspection.
  • Diagnose and Resolve Raw Material issues.
  • Communicate effectively with Supply group regarding any issues.
  • Diagnose and Resolve Compounder Equipment System issues. 
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external support groups, as needed.
  • Diagnose and Resolve Transition Box, Single Screw, and Pelletizer issues.
  • Diagnose and Resolve Wet Scrubber, Oil Skimmer, and Ph adjustment Systems
  • Fill in as Line Operator as needed
  • Analyze Process data to determine process/product conformance and trends.
  • Identify and communicate appropriately when Plant Maintenance support is needed.
 
 

Qualifications - External

    • 2-year degree in Technology program or relevant experience
    • Mastery of 92 Twin Screw Installation and Coupling
    • Mastery of all Compounding Operator Skills
    • Strong Mechanical skills across equipment in compounding process
    • Strong prioritization and multi-tasking capability
    • Strong aptitude in problem solving and process improvement
    • Equipment maintenance experience
    • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and process procedures

     

    PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Mastery of Blending Operations
    • Strong knowledge of Screw and Barrel wear impact to process; Measuring skills
    • Strong working knowledge of Pigment Refill and Feed System
    • Strong computer skills
    • Ability to articulate problems and solutions verbally
    • Ability and skills to collaborate effectively in a team environment
    • Self-motivated and capable of managing stressful situations
