Summary: 

Leads the onboarding and technical skills-building training team within operations with oversight of the orientation, onboarding and training system, leadership development program deployment, readiness programs, team performance, and career development/transition. Consults and collaborates with operations leadership, HR and talent development colleagues, and the enterprise talent and organizational development team. Deploys training initiatives using strong instructional design methodology from conducting needs assessment, designing, and developing programs/modules, and evaluation of programs (level 1-4) for continuous improvement and enhancement accelerating the learning approach. Uses a variety of learning modalities inclusive of instructor led, eLearning, to virtual learning modalities, in line with client group needs. Deploys change management techniques to accelerate culture change. Responsible for leading large team of training supervisors and value stream trainers, including budget responsibilities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Uses instructional design methodology to develop programs. Conducts need assessments, creates design documents, seeks alignment of design (inclusive of budget needs/resources), develop project plans for development of programs/modules, and establishes program evaluation metrics, process, and success.
  • Partners and proactively collaborates with enterprise Learning and Development team to deploy Operations manager, supervisor and frontline leadership development programs, including career readiness program deployment.
  • Lead change management activities for a variety of projects and initiatives.
  • Vendor management responsibilities inclusive of selection to management.
  • Builds and deploys a hands-on training system to ensure skills and confidence in new hires entering the production environment. 

DIRECTION OF OTHERS:

  • Provides direct management to 3-shift, multi-sub plant learning and development professionals, learning supervisors, facilitators, trainers, and support staff.


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Advanced degree and bi-lingual is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in training needs assessment, course development and delivery.
  • Working knowledge of assessment, design, development, implementation, and measurement strategies to use when knowledge and skill gaps must be addressed through training.
  • Determination of classroom vs. distance learning strategies.
  • Experience navigating and driving change and elevation of standards for Manufacturing or Logistics teams
  • Experience navigating, aligning, and deploying complex solutions in manufacturing environments to ensure safety and quality standards, and access to full employee experience in consideration of multi-lingual communities
  • Demonstrate independent judgment, influencing skills, consulting, and collaboration to work effectively at all levels in a matrix organization.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills; presentation and facilitation skills.

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
