SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for leading a team of engineers supporting one of the value streams at the Andersen location in Bayport, MN.  This leader will be responsible for developing and executing an annual strategy focused on operational excellence, reducing waste, increasing efficiency, and eliminating variation within our manufacturing processes. Candidates for this position should have energy and passion to improve both our production and functional processes while leading with integrity. This position ensures that the assigned manufacturing engineering team is operating in accordance with Andersen’s values, employee covenant, and strategic direction. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a team of engineers to establish and maintain strategic deployment of goals and objectives.
  • Partner with operations leadership, RD&I, quality, maintenance, and supply chain functions to lead and manage change.
  • Drive continuous improvement, improve customer satisfaction, reduce waste, increase efficiency, and eliminate variation in processes.
  • Collaborate with delivery partners to determine the appropriate priority for projects using data-driven decision making and a balance of day-to-day operations support.
  • Develop, execute, and manage a capital investment plan for the value stream.
  • Identify, recruit, and onboard engineering talent as needed.
  • Establish an environment conducive to teamwork, high morale, employee satisfaction, and performance.

MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-year degree in engineering, technology, or management.
  • 5-10 years of experience in quality, engineering leadership, or area of technical support.  
  • Strong commitment to be a highly collaborative servant leader in all aspects of the role. 
  • Solid coaching and people development skills.
  • Collaborative, proactive communicator; effective both 1:1 and in groups.

  

NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience supervising a group of engineers and/or technicians.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of quality control systems (SPC, Process Capability). 
  • Background in manufacturing preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic corporate finance, budgeting, accounting.

  

COMPENSATION:

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn between $99,216 - $153,78 annually.

PROFIT SHARING: 

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
