SUMMARY:
Step into a pivotal role at Bayport as a Technical Maintenance Leader! You’ll be the go-to expert, driving downtime reduction and boosting productivity by leading a skilled team of maintenance technicians. Your technical prowess and leadership will ensure smooth, efficient operations across the entire site. Join us and make a tangible impact on our production success!
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilizes Technical electrical troubleshooting knowledge to decrease down time
- Collaborates with and organizes team members to work together to increase equipment uptime.
- Evaluate and improve maintenance performance by continually reducing maintenance downtime, while reducing maintenance costs.
- Ensure equipment integrity and reliability.
- Uses data-drive problem solving approach to troubleshoot process issues
- Maintains professional relations with the crew to help secure efficient operation and high morale.
- The ability to install, recommend, alter, repair, plan and lay out electrical wiring, apparatus or equipment.
- Encourages involvement aimed at improving the performance of individuals to improve overall operation effectiveness.
- Uses effective communication skills to inform all maintenance of equipment reliability concerns, downtime issues, etc.
- Leading and managing a team of maintenance technicians.
- Conduct root cause analysis of issues, potentially causing downtime.
- Oversee In-House and Vendor-Driven Modifications
- Guide Technical teams, including, technician, engineers, operators, and supervisors.·
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Associates or Bachelors of Science degrees in electrical related field of study or equivalent expertise gained through 5 -10 years of job-related training and experience.
- Preferred Minnesota Electrical Journeyman license (with experience in controls and troubleshooting).
- Technical abilities include knowledge of design and troubleshooting within areas of electrical, electronics, mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Prior experience working with Allen Bradley/Rockwell hardware and programming
- Robotic and CNC programming knowledge strongly preferred.
- Expertly diagnose and resolve issues related to electrical equipment, systems, and components, including PLCs, controls, and drives.
- AutoCAD proficient strongly preferred.
- Facilitating effective collaboration with vendors and external contractors.
- Knowledge of the National Electric code and NFPA 79
- Prior experience with machine safety systems, components, and reviews.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision making, and human relation skills.
- Demonstrated experience with change management.
- Highly motivated and able to work and lead in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong ability to communicate with and influence all levels of an organization.
- Strong interpersonal administration, planning and coordination skills.

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
