As a Facilities Electrician, you will lead electrical projects in coordination with planners, maintenance leaders, and engineering teams to ensure the reliability and efficiency of facility systems. You will perform and improve preventive, predictive, and continuous maintenance on electrical circuits, machinery, and fire protection systems, including Pyro-Guard and fire alarms. The role also includes programming and maintaining PLCs, HMIs, drives, and servos, while mentoring technicians and maintaining technical documentation and standards.
POSITION PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead projects and work directly with planners, maintenance leaders, and engineering teams.
- Maintain all electrical circuits, systems and/or machinery in top working condition by doing planned maintenance, preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance and drive continuous improvement
- Facilitate training/coaching to develop technicians and motivate others in fire alarm and Pyro-Guard systems
- Develop and maintain standards and procedures components, drawings, PLC programs and machine parameters
- Capable to program PLC, HMI’s, Drives and Servo’s for new applications
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Proficient communication and organizational skills, be able to work in a team environment
- Excel in problem-solving skills
- Time management and prioritization skills, including being able to handle priorities and being self-directed
- Working knowledge of Fire alarm systems
- Licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician in the State of Minnesota
- The ability to install, recommend, alter, repair, plan and lay out electrical wiring, apparatus or equipment.
- Proficient at reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, prints and PLC logic
POSITION NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced programming and design skills (PLC, drives, controls)
- Working knowledge of components, operating principles, troubleshooting and maintaining functions and components of 13,800V switchgear
- Proficient in providing electrical troubleshooting and maintenance of all the equipment and utilities (electrical, water, chilled water, wastewater, HVAC, humidity, sprinkler, steam, compressed air, dust collection, elevator/reciprocating, life safety and environmental systems) in the plant
COMPENSATION:
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process.
Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $43.35 - $54.24 hourly.
