SUMMARY
Andersen Corporation has an exciting leadership opportunity within the Enterprise Data Technology Infrastructure & Operations Team. We are seeking a Network Engineering and Operations Manager that will lead teams to drive and deliver modern data network technologies and services to the organization as we modernize and transform the business. The ideal candidate will have experience leading high performing technical teams that support critical communications infrastructure.
The Network Engineering & Operations Manager will be focused on working with the Product Owner, Engineers, and Architects to create strategies and road maps to deliver on strategic goals and drive the execution of those roadmaps using Agile and Lean practices while actively managing the overall health of the enterprise communication infrastructure and developing team members. This role requires a deep understanding of traditional and cloud-based data network and security technologies, a passion for servant leadership, and the ability to drive digital transformation initiatives across the organization.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Align technology solutions with business and create strategies for the modernization and optimization of critical data technologies for the enterprise.
- Translates strategic objectives into specific tactical plans, and rapidly executes against these plans.
- Establish, advocate, and enforce standards and best practices for infrastructure deployment and management across the organization, ensuring consistency and quality in infrastructure operations.
- Engage with product teams and stakeholders to improve performance, availability, and security, ensuring that foundational tools and platforms meet high internal standards.
- Manage recruitment, hiring, and annual review processes for the Network Engineering and Operations team, promoting a culture of excellence, innovation, and team satisfaction.
- Oversee the departmental budget, (operating and capital expenses) with a focus on technology investments that enhance our capabilities.
- Mentor and develop team members, encouraging them to extend beyond their comfort zones and achieve ambitious objectives while maintaining a high level of team satisfaction.
- Keep abreast of emerging trends and technologies that offer significant benefits to the organization, our business partners, or customers, ensuring Andersen Corporation is informed and advanced in technology specific to network engineering and security.
- Collaborate with architectural teams to maintain and enhance architectural standards.
- Delivery of exceptional communication and customer service to stakeholders.
- Focus on building strong long-term relationships with internal customers; this includes educating customers on the range of products and services and presenting them with solutions that meet their needs.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
·MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent years of work experience, education, and training)
- 7+ years of IT leadership experience to include:
- 3+ years of IT management experience, preferably in a multi-site manufacturing or industrial environment overseeing data and voice infrastructure teams.
- Proficient understanding of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies and ITIL practices
- Experience in the design, implementation, and operation of large-scale Enterprise LAN/WAN/Wireless Services, and Firewall technologies.
- Experience in the design, implementation, and operation of cloud-based network services including Azure and Amazon Web Services
- Experience with automation/orchestration platforms such as PowerShell / Ansible / Chef / Terraform etc...
- To be considered for this opportunity, qualified candidates must be currently located in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN area in order to work a hybrid schedule at the corporate headquarters in Oak Park Heights, Minnesota.
NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
- Expert knowledge of data and voice network technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with creating a shared vision and strategy for an organization.
- Experience in hiring, mentoring, and evaluating technical talent.
- Experience planning, developing, and managing enterprise expense/capital budgets.
- Experience with network security basics, firewalls, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management.
- Experience with leading teams through incidents including major incidents across IT infrastructure.
- Experience in managing vendors, contracts, and RFP engagements.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices, including risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and compliance with industry standards
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills with experience managing remote teams.
- Proven ability to create an atmosphere of mentoring, quality, diversity, collaboration, and continuous improvement by actively coaching team members.
- Ability to motivate and lead teams towards achieving development goals.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle, best practices in software development, code reviews, source code management, build processes, secure coding standards, testing, and operations.
COMPENSATION
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $108,941 to $168,859 per year.
