SUMMARY
The Associate Accountant position is a member of the accounting team. They will provide support in developing, interpreting, and implementing accounting and financial practices, procedures, and policies in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and corporate policies. This role also involves the ability to develop and maintain collaborative and effective relationships with cross functional teams across the Enterprise.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting and Period-Close:
· Assists in the day-to-day maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger.
· Consolidates, examines and analyzes accounting records.
· Applies accounting skills to maintain, communicate, and disclose information following corporate standards, GAAP, and department objectives.
· Preparation and posting of period end journal entries
· Assists with period-end and year-end close and consolidation processes.
Analysis and Reporting:
· Prepares balance sheet account reconciliations, including research on inaccuracies and clearing discrepancies promptly, along with analysis of financial records and systems.
· Responsible for compiling analysis and reports for department management and other business partners under direct supervision.
Process Improvement:
· Have a continuous improvement mindset performing daily tasks and working through the existing processes and procedures.
Audit Support & Other
· Provides supporting documentation and assists with both internal and external audit inquiries.
· Support accounting projects and processes within the department.
· Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
· Entry level - 0 to 4 years of related accounting experience
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting
· Solid understanding of general ledger and GAAP accounting practices
· Proficient knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
· Team player with solid collaborative and communication skills
NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience with Infor Baan and/or LN is a plus
· Ability to work independently and be proactive, detail-oriented, and well-organized
· Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
