PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work directly with design, manufacturing, supply chain, and other business partners on the design for manufacturability, and process capability of new and existing products and processes.
  • Partner with the safety group to ensure all new or modified processes meet or exceed corporate safety requirements.
  • Assist in building and qualifying of parts/units on both new and existing production lines (includes coordinating the pulling of material and scheduling builds around existing production schedules).
  • Provide training and direction to other individuals involved with the manufacturing process.
  • Provide input on issues uncovered during fabrication, assembly and testing of parts and products.
  • Create training tools, documents and standard operating procedures for production processes ensuring consistent manufacturability.
  • Introduce new perspectives on existing solutions to continuously improve production and material flow processes.
  • Use of measurement equipment (measuring table, calipers, depth gages, etc.)
  • Working hours will vary with project requirements (may include OT and some weekend work)      

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Technical degree or equivalent combination of formalized technical education and experience
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively apply acquired knowledge and skills to a variety of assignments within a basic range of technical difficulty.
  • Understands methodologies associated with project planning.
  • Communicate effectively through written, verbal, listening, and presentation skills.
  • Strong experience in building and maintaining relationships.
  • Experience with change management strategies.
  • Knowledge of 2D & 3D solid modeling preferred (AutoCad/Inventor )
  • Travel requirements vary with project

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
