SUMMARY
To direct the work, people and results in a pultrusion work environment to produce standard but complex profiles having critical dimensions, defined contours, and close and exacting tolerances. To train associates, assist with setting production and performance goals, organize and assign work, and maintain a productive and industrious environment within the work cell.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organizes and assigns work within a work cell to utilize available skills, knowledge and experience, labor hours, machines and tooling to the best advantages to obtain most favorable machining costs, quality and workmanship.
- Provides regular training, instruction, and guidance and maintains close surveillance over set-up procedures and machining operations.
- Analyzes and diagnoses machining and tooling problems, machine malfunctions, etc., to expedite and coordinate corrective procedures and to prevent excessive downtime and interrupted schedules.
- Coordinates production with Quality Assurance inspection activities, as they may be related to work in progress. Integrates required revisions to products or processes as necessary.
- Participates in and leads continuous improvement activities related to work simplification, cost reduction, new tooling and methods, labor hour planning, scheduling, machine repairing and maintenance.
- Coordinates appropriate staffing levels in accordance with skill requirements, work levels and schedules, vacations, and training programs.
- Assist with machine set-ups and operations to meet safety, quality, and customer service and cost requirements within production.
- Participates in selection and hiring of new Pultrusion Operators via interviews.
- Performs skill and knowledge assessments of Pultrusion Operators.
- Maintains conformance with employee and safety rules and regulations, issues violation warnings and administers approved disciplinary measures when necessary.
- Communicates to staff in production through stand-up meetings, 1:1 meeting, and small group meetings.
- Work in a safe manner and follow safety policies. Ensures co-workers are working safely and following safety policies.
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
- Must attach resume to application
- Master all skills and knowledge while working as a Pultrusion Operator
- Manufacturing Operations experience
- Working knowledge of computer systems (MS Office)
- Ability to lead, train, coach and motivate employees
- Ability to problem solve, make sound decisions and delegate appropriately
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Continuous improvement focus
- Proven effectiveness working with others

- Ability to learn product, process and equipment

SALARY INFORMATION:

"In 2023, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance."
