Develop complex sustainability submittals and lead sustainability discussions both internally and externally. Work with customer base to ensure systems meet business needs. Perform final reviews of sustainability certification/documentation submittals.
Develop programs and projects to positively influence sustainability performance. Work with customer base to implement projects and track performance. Communicate results to internal and external customers
Lead the most complex sustainability projects/ activities across the enterprise. Develop and implement projects to continuously improve product and corporate sustainability performance. Set strategy for the development of guidance and point-of-view documents for the group and serve as a communicator of that information to other internal and external stakeholders.
Support development of company strategy around sustainability certifications/programs to maintain Andersen’s position as an industry leader in the space.
Prepare and provide presentations on complex subjects to internal and external audiences. Support development of strategy around which presentations and trainings to develop based on current and future needs of the company
Schedule, assign, direct, review and perform related follow-up and work coordination activities with others on technical teams.
Perform advisory role on complex assignments.
Plan, organize and lead technical aspects of large-scale assignments to successful conclusion.
Responsible for work direction in the absence of management.
Participate in development of general training and development curricula for use within the product and corporate sustainability areas.
4-year Engineering, Chemistry, or technical degree; or equivalent experience.
5-10 years of related work experience. (Masters level degree or PhD in one of the focus areas can substituted for some of the experience required at this level)
In-depth knowledge of corporate and product sustainability programs relevant to Andersen. Specialized knowledge in several product or building sustainability programs.
Extensive experience in complex sustainability projects/assignments impacting corporate-wide interests and long-term business goals.
Possess distinguished level of sustainability knowledge often attained by completing an advanced degree and/or equivalent specialized training.
Recognized company-wide expert in multiple areas of sustainability work. Understands and applies methodologies with project planning.
Knowledge around LCA (Life cycle Assessment) and carbon accounting
Knowledge of business practices around waste and recycling
xperience with carbon corporate reporting software a plus, such as Salesforce NetZero or Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability
Strong networking ability
