Definition:

The Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing and managing the Enterprise Strategy for sourcing suppliers to support new and ongoing product development projects. The Strategic Sourcing Manager will focus on strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management to manage volatility, ensure stability of the supply chain, mitigate risk, and deliver a competitive advantage for the Enterprise. Ensuring that suppliers performance will be measured on quality, delivery, continuous improvement and cost management.

Overall, Purpose of the Role:

This role will work closely with our suppliers to ensure that products are delivered on time, with high quality and at optimal cost. Strengthen our supplier partnership and reduce risk by developing and maintaining long-term relationships with our suppliers. Work collaboratively with our suppliers, engineering, RD&I, quality, and finance teams to deliver a robust supply chain solution to our Operations teams.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sets clear expectations, direction and priorities for the department which consists of 5 Strategic Sourcing Analysts. Prepare and manage department budgets and strategies. Develops plans to meet department annual goals while aligning to enterprise and business unit targets.

  • coordinating the activities of the team. Hire and development of the team. Responsible for holding the team accountable through coaching and performance management. Provide appropriate training, tools, guidance, and feedback.

  • Communicates and collaborates across functions such as Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, IT, and Logistics.
  • Lives the Andersen values. Builds and inspires trust through transparency, and collaboration.

  • Improve Materials Management competency in supply base.

  • Demonstrate strong and effective leadership cross multiple functions, communicate to multiple levels, and form relationships/trust quickly.

  • Facilitate efforts between project teams and category teams to drive component production readiness, waste reduction.

  • Utilizes sound project management for complex projects and key initiatives.

  • Collaborates with delivery partners to determine appropriate projects of focus, using available data from observation, queries, process data, and working partner input

  • Demonstrates continued personal growth and development

  • Develops and maintains a strong working relationship with RD&I, Operations Management and other Business Partners.

  • Promotes Total Costs and Lean Manufacturing principles, with a focus on creating value and eliminating waste.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of a BS/BA degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related degree

  • 5 years of experience in supply chain management

  • Strong bias for action and results orientation is critical.

  • Knowledge in supply chain and lean methodologies, including problem solving, data analysis, communication, and supplier relationships.

  • Must demonstrate the ability to be able to communicate both written and verbal to all levels within the organization and externally to suppliers.

  • Excellent project management skills are necessary.

  • Individuals must be self-driven and self-motivated to learn and use that knowledge to produce results.

  • Hybrid work environment with around 25% Travel Required

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
