SUMMARY
The HR Business Partner is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle Human Resources support to 3-4 retail locations with annual revenue of up to $300M. The role is critical in executing our people initiatives to cultivate an innovative, high-performing, and inclusive culture as well as providing great internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement across the organization to ensure standards are aligned and being executed for all our retail management.
As a functional part of the core team, this position will work to increase our bottom-line profitability by directly impacting our employees through employee and leadership development.
The ideal candidate will need to be located near one of the following locations:
- Northborough, MA
- Monroeville, PA
- Fairfax, VA
- Jessup, MD
- Cottage Grove, MN
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Providing counsel to General Managers (GMs) and retail leadership by proactively identifying issues and opportunities with available metrics, taking action to drive initiatives and execute action plans to drive performance.
- Partner with GMs on the local talent management strategy for the geographic area of responsibility, including developing robust succession planning/talent management, developing internal talent, and supporting the recruiting strategy to ensure we have the right people at the right time.
- Partners with GM and Renewal by Andersen (RbA) leadership to conduct regular leadership training sessions, to include but not limited to, performance management, conflict management, performance coaching/counseling, and employment law.
- Provide guidance and enable leaders to deliver an exceptional employee experience on escalated HR questions and concerns or investigations that may be highly visible or sensitive in nature. Ensure that outcomes are consistent and adhere with Andersen standards, policies, procedures, and the Who We Are Values.
- Consult and counsel and proactively coach leaders regarding compensation alignment and equity in preparing new hire salary recommendations, incentive management and market/promotional recommendations.
- Support interview process for retail talent at store and corporate level, facilitate HR piece of onboarding and conduct exit interviews.
- Recommend, lead and/or participate in team, departmental or cross-functional projects to improve the partner experience and/or drive efficiency.
- Travel required up to 20% to locations within our Company Owned Retail Operations or Minnesota based headquarters.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent combination of education and experience; PHR/SPHR preferred
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in a Human Resources Business Partner role supporting a blended exempt/non-exempt workforce of 300+ employees preferably in a retail environment
- Strong collaborator, problem solver, change agent, data-based decision maker
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
- Strong Written and Verbal Communications

In 2023, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
