SUMMARY 

Provide team leadership to other HR coordinators and administrative staff to support the human resource’s function and business with the execution of HR processes, systems, and programs. This role has team leader responsibilities in the following areas: HRIS, staffing, records retention, employee relations facilitation and payroll troubleshooting and interface. Coordinates and plans employee & special events. Performs staffing duties for production positions, including attending job fairs, ad placement, application screening, interviewing and selection and orientation. Supports a large site (750 + employees) or multiple sites.  
 
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • This position is responsible for preparing and coordinating any functions pertaining to employment, compensation, labor negotiations and employee relations.
  • The Human Resources coordinator plays an active role in formulating methods to improve employment policies, processes and practices as well as recommending changes to management.
  • This position conduct will conduct research, analysis, and reporting in addition to daily tasks and lead small but cross functional continuous improvement projects.
Administrative duties:
  • Provide backup receptionist coverage for the Plant or department
  • Run reports, update KPI files, and input data.
  • Order and maintain needed inventory of supplies (office, first aid, etc.).
  •  Attend, participate, create, and administer meeting minutes
  • Coordinates annual employee training (CPR, AED, BBP, First Aid, RTK, etc.)
  • Coordinates plant or department events
HRIS/Record Retention:

  • Entry of new employees into the HRIS system and query generation.
  • Maintenance and filing of personnel files in compliance with records retention policy and applicable legal requirements troubleshooting associate issues relating to payroll, timekeeping, and benefits.
  • Merit increases and performance reviews coordination, tacking, and filing.
  • Timekeeping for the plant and department or function. 
  • Provides training and direction for other system users.
Staffing Processes:
  • Conduct and/or direct the Production staffing and non production recruiting and selection efforts.
  • Leads and oversees all pre-employment testing including background, drug and alcohol, physical abilities.
  • Acts as liaison between Company and staffing service partners
  • Develops, updates and conducts the new hire orientation process and ensures all required paperwork and benefits forms are filled out correctly and processed through the ESC.
  • Leads and oversees the voluntary/involuntary layoff and return processes.
Employee Relations Facilitation:
 
  • Visible and accessible to all associates, providing policy clarification, answering routine HR-related inquiries and referring complex matters to management and/or HR Generalist.
  • The coordination of various associate meetings, including scheduling, invitations, room arrangements, lunches, maintaining attendance records.
  • Coordination of special events
  • Maintenance of bulletin boards.
  • Community partnership events and activities. 
  • The compiling of information for appropriate communication vehicles.
  • May handle basic employee relations issues.
Health Services/Safety:
  • Support to employees with medical leave related questions and paperwork, coordinating with Corporate Health Services.
  • Support to supervisors with the return-to-work process. 
  • The coordination and scheduling of shoe mobile, Flu shots, Red Cross, etc. 
  • The coordination of administrative processes between Health Services and Medical providers and the site.
  • The tracking of associates on long-term disability process.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS  
  • Highly motivated with ability to pro-actively provide support
  • Capable of independently managing multiple tasks/projects in a professional, efficient manner
  • Excellent customer service & follow-through skills
 
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
  • BA/BS degree in Human Resources or similar discipline preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in progressive HR support role.
  • Experience with the staffing process (screening, interviewing, etc.)

In 2023, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
