POSITION PURPOSE
The Senior Business Manager is responsible for leading and developing the growth strategy for the business unit segment of the EM Tooling & Profile Commercialization Business Unit. The business unit leader works directly with a cross-function team of Research & development, Tooling Design, Tool Manufacturing, Tool Commercialization, Project Management, Finance/Office, EM Operations, HR, IT, and 3rd party Sales & Marketing, to deliver critical business results including achieving internal tooling design, manufacturing, and commercialization targets in addition to achieving 3rd party sales and margin targets. |
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Developing and implementing the business unit’s strategic plan to achieve its goals and objectives. Overseeing the budget, financial performance, and profitability of the business unit/team(s) including safety, quality, service, cost, sales, and gross profit. | 20% |
Leading, mentoring, and developing the management team and staff within the business unit. Ensuring efficient and effective day-to-day operations, including process improvements, resource allocation, supplier management, operations/logistics, & 3rd Party sales | 20% |
Conducting market research analysis and industry partnerships to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, and adjusting strategies accordingly. | 10% |
Develop a detailed understanding of 3rd Party competitors and provide product marketing with insights into key competitive differentiators and messages. | 10% |
Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, vendors & stakeholders. Setting business unit/team(s) performance metrics, monitoring progress, and implementing corrective actions as needed. | 15% |
Developing and leading project plans; developing overall budgets, implementing these plans and assigning resources. Ensuring the business unit complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, and managing risks. | 10% |
Driving innovation and growth initiatives to expand the business unit’s market presence and competitive edge in partnership with RD&I, vertically integrated internal customer groups and 3rd Party customers. Providing regular reports to senior management on the business unit’s performance, challenges, and opportunities | 10% |

DIRECTION OF OTHERS
The Senior Business Manager role leads the business from a broad general manager point of view and owns business results. They are responsible for translating Andersen’s Engineered Materials business strategy into a tooling strategy by developing a vision, strategic and annual operating plans for their business and working closely with delivery partners (RD&I, operations / internal customer groups, finance, IT and human resources) throughout the Andersen Enterprise to deliver those plans. They lead the business day-to-day by producing sound plans, spotting problems and opportunities early, and responding urgently to them. |
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION, SKILL AND/OR COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
· Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. · Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic planning skills to set and achieve long-term business goals. · Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. · Industry Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of the industry in which the business unit operates, including market trends and competitive landscape. · Operational Expertise: Experience in managing day-to-day operations, optimizing processes, and improving efficiency. · Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas and influence stakeholders. · Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex business challenges. · Customer Focus: Commitment to understanding and meeting the needs of customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction. · Change Management: Ability to manage and drive change within the organization, adapting to evolving business environments. · Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field; an MBA or other advanced degree is preferred. · Minimum ten (10) years of experience with demonstrated growth and/or advancement in complexity, difficulty, or level of responsibility. Previous general management, product management, or other product related experience preferred. · Travel requirement 25-35%. Must be a previous employee of ZTech Precision Tooling Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $131,540 to $210,460.
