ANDERSEN CORPORATION SUMMARY:
This position will help Andersen advance sustainability initiatives throughout the company. The role will coordinate projects, gather and research product and operational sustainability data, and engage employees in Andersen's environmental responsibility programs. The role is responsible for managing product certifications and has a lead role in corporate reporting.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Certifications: Maintain existing product certifications as determined by sustainability, sales, and marketing leadership and aid, based on experience, in those decisions. Role will also identify and lead new certification projects where applicable.
The Senior Sustainability Analyst will also lead certain relationships with certification and auditing bodies.
Lead LCA work for our products and develop and maintain our EPD and HPD documents.
Lead the carbon accounting for our corporation. Use of platforms such as Salesforce Sustainability Cloud or Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability.
Reporting:
Role will assist in drafting stories for CSR work and working with Communications and content team to amplify key sustainability stories. Also responsible for evaluating new reporting opportunities.
Role will also partner with the supply chain team on supplier sustainability initiatives.
Help develop corporate goals and commitments around sustainability.
Employee Engagement: Lead pilot programs, employee event planning, and efforts related to the Sustainability Business Group. Role will also be responsible for leading collaborative efforts between sustainability and DEI, community relations, etc.
Other projects: Analyst must be flexible and open to variety as other projects arise. These include new employee onboarding tasks, educational content development, and other cross-functional and external engagement.
May present sustainability information to non-sustainability employees in the organization and guide them through best practices. Could also support interns and other temporary employees as needed. Some coaching and day-to-day guidance of new employees could be necessary. Role may also lead project teams and direct day-to-day work of project team members.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills requirements
Bachelor’s degree in sustainability or relevant sciences required. 8+ years of experience in a related area required. Masters degree with 5+ years of experience or PhD with relevant experience in related field will also be considered.
Ability to manage and work within large data sets.
Solid understanding of carbon accounting and experience with carbon accounting software.
Self-starter and can operate with minimal oversight.
Builds strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Networking is key to success in this position.
Skilled in building partnerships that can lead to corporate change.
Strong communication skills through written, verbal and listening, and presentation techniques.
