Senior Specialist: Corporate Communications

PURPOSE:
The senior specialist, corporate communications, will be responsible for helping to create and execute enterprise communications programs to inform, engage and align employees and enhance and protect the Andersen brand. The individual in this role will craft timely, engaging and channel-specific internal and external communications, utilizing a variety of content formats (intranet content for web and mobile, digital signage, blogs, media pitches, etc.). The position will be responsible for daily management of the intranet to ensure consistent communications to all 13,000 employees, who we view as our greatest brand ambassadors. The senior specialist will also be responsible for adapting certain content for external audiences via digital and social content. Strong writing skills, creative storytelling and an omni-channel approach are required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Content Strategy & Development
- Manage our modern intranet platform to ensure consistent communications to all employees, including content strategy, creation, management and measurement.
- Identify content opportunities and write/produce stories for employee communications – including the intranet (internal) and blog (external).
- Leverage a variety of content formats to produce highly engaging multi-media content, including written, video, photography and graphic design. Help drive adoption and engagement of internal communications platforms.
- Manage an editorial calendar that uses strategic pillars and ladders up to long-range strategic plan
- Continually share and update communication standards for key stakeholders
- Champion content style guidelines and vision for new content experiences
- Oversee intranet platform enhancements and ongoing digital solution needs
- Manage Power BI dashboard for intranet analytics and translate user experience insights
- Partner with marketing/content team to write and curate content for website, blog and social media channels.
- Help develop, execute, and promote community giving programs, including year-round employee giving and signature volunteer programs.
Strategic Counselor
- Work with business and functional teams to understand business strategy and develop supporting communications strategies, serving as a trusted partner to advance programs to drive the business and support employees.
- Counsel the organization to position, develop and execute internal communication campaigns.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5 years communications or content marketing experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in strategic communications, public relations, marketing or journalism.
- Writing samples required.
- Strong understanding of communication disciplines in digital and written forms.
- Excellent active listening and communication skills.
- Ability to work with confidential information.
- Multimedia and/or video storytelling experience.
- Experience with content management systems.
- Must be a strong writer with knowledge of AP Style and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must be a self-starter with effective time and project management skills.
- Ability to influence others while moving toward a common vision or goal.
- Driven to effectively solve problems and identify opportunities.
- Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and productively with all types of people at all levels of the organization and with external vendors.
