The Andersen RD&I Design Engineer Rational Development Program (RDP) is intended to attract top talent and prepare them for successful integration into Andersen, RD&I, and product design at Andersen. The program offers the new design engineers the opportunity to explore the breadth of Andersen products and enables strong network development with multiple business teams and cross‐functional stakeholders across the Andersen Enterprise.

As part of RDP, the design engineer will be exposed to foundational best practices in RD&I product design, ongoing product development, Operations Andersen Manufacturing Systems, tier reporting structures, Product Lifecycle Management processes, the Product Development Process gate approvals, as well as multiple manufacturing locations and product categories. Participants are given a full‐time role within the Andersen RD&I organization and paired with a senior mentor to help ensure they are provided experiences to build skills in core engineering disciplines such as mechanical design and design for manufacturing and installation.

The 19‐month rotational program is built based on business need. The program incorporates a one-month onboarding phase and three, 6‐ month rotational assignments over a 19‐month span. At the end of the program, the participant will be placed on an engineering team within the Andersen RD&I organization, based on the employee’s interests and current business needs.

Rotational Assignments
The key to the program is the rotational design opportunities within the Andersen Enterprise.
Each rotation is intended to expose the design engineer to not only team best practices, but also product design challenges within a complex portfolio.
