SUMMARY:
This strategic engineering position will provide quality support, by working as a valued member of a team of engineers and technicians. You’ll work cross-functionally with new product development, commercialization teams, and suppliers. As a member of this team, you will own the design, implementation, and hand-off of quality work content specific to each project. This work content includes capital budget creation, quality control strategy design – plan for every workstation, equipment validation, plant infrastructure, and Quality Management System development.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide quality engineering support for: New Product Introductions, Product Improvement Efforts, Manufacturing Process Improvement and Design, Manufacturing Execution System Introduction, and Improvement Efforts.
- Supporting Quality systems and error -proofing solutions in equipment and process design.
- Leading and participating in Process risk assessments including FMEAs to drive quality improvements.
- Working with IT, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing Engineering to develop / update operator interfaces for manufacturing and quality inspections.
- Supporting Factory Acceptance Testing and Site Acceptance Testing of manufacturing assets.
- Developing and executing validation plans throughout the Product / Process Development lifecycle for equipment asset and full manufacturing line qualification.
- Analyzing fabrication and assembly equipment capability in Minitab or similar software (Cpk, Ppk)
- Leading Control Plan and Work Instruction documentation development and implementation.
- Implementing Statistical Process Control (SPC) within the production line equipment validation, plant infrastructure, and Quality Management System development.
NICE TO HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Working with component suppliers on Part Submission Warrant (PSW) requests, First Article, and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submittals for new product development projects.
- Participating in equipment design reviews, gauge design and procurement processes, and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% when required (primarily domestic, occasional international
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- 3-5 years of engineering experience within a manufacturing, continuous process environment.
- Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of PFMEA, SPC, process capability and lean manufacturing principles.
- Working knowledge of measurement tools and systems with an emphasis on physical gaging and automated inspection.
- ASQ certified Quality Engineer/Six sigma certifications.
COMPENSATION:
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn between $88,235 - $136,765.

PROFIT SHARING:
In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
