The Andersen Goodyear, AZ Engineering team is seeking an individual with strong operations and problem-solving skills to support current production lines. Primary focus will be on monitoring, controlling, and improving existing manufacturing processes, and to ensure customer and business needs are met. Secondary focus will be on developing, implementing new processes, and supporting product line extensions. 


  • Analyze data; develop process improvements and implement changes.  Improvement areas include safety, quality, delivery, cost, overall customer satisfaction, and reducing process variation.
  • Support project teams on the successful commercialization and start-up of new equipment and processes. 
  • Work collaboratively with operations, engineering, supply chain, IT, and other business partners on the support of manufacturing processes.
  • Facilitate cross-functional team meetings, kaizens, problem solving events, etc.
  • Create training tools, documents and standard operating procedures for production processes ensuring consistent manufacturability.
  • Introduce new perspectives on existing solutions to continuously improve production and material flow processes.
  • Utilize effective lean process design techniques to optimize overall manufacturing system performance by providing innovative solutions that integrate within the value stream.
  • Exhibit persuasiveness to sell continuous improvement ideas to value stream management and delivery partners.
  • Drive corrective action through root cause identification and structured problem solving.


  • Manufacturing operations or support experience including problem solving techniques
  • Working knowledge of Automation and/or electrical controls experience (ideally in a rockwell/allen Bradley environment)
  • Understands and applies methodologies associated with project planning and experience working with collaborative cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Communicate effectively through written, verbal, listening, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with quality systems, statistical process control, process capability and lean manufacturing tools.
  • Knowledge of 2D & 3D solid modeling is a plus (AutoCad/Inventor)
  • 5+ years of experience preferred with mechanical aptitude

"In 2023, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate.  Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
