SUMMARY:
This position provides exceptional service by being a single point of contact for the Customer. Partnering with Sales Reps, Scheduling, Installation and Service Teams to provide a customized level of communication with every Customer to keep the Customer well informed of the delivery of their products and services; and to quickly resolve any concern the Customer may have.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducts pre-construction meetings, calls or contact points with customer to confirm details of the sales contract to assure customer expectations are in alignment with product features and options, installation details, and schedules for delivery and installation. Provides Customers with specific framing, concrete, and other details to ensure rough openings are properly built the first time to accept the products ordered.
- Provides installation solutions that match Customer expectations; adapts production specifications to the installation requirements, utilizing a thorough knowledge of Andersen products.
- Perform periodic site reviews to monitor Customers’ job progress. Confirm delivery and installation schedules.
- Report on any scheduling and / or order moves needed. Provides feedback to the Customer(s) when a job order has issues; works with key stakeholders to resolve questions in a quick and efficient manner. Manage construction schedule and product lead times and determine best course of action to mitigate project delays.
- Communicates with Installation and field service crews on specifics for the jobs, providing advanced notice of unique factors the crew will need to be aware of with the job.
- Trouble shoots issues with installation crew during installation; this may include onsite support to the job.
- Approves any additional installation labor required to complete the job. Facilitates and secures Change Orders approval from Customers.
- Work directly with Customers to resolve installation, product quality and other issues.
- Direct, as necessary, any recovery issues appropriately through the Dealership Teams.
- Provide post-installation inspections to identify and mitigate errors related to, or the result of, improper installation procedures and direct corrective actions.
- Schedules pre home close screen & hardware installation and “white glove” service. Conducts homeowner walkthrough and delivers the APBS completion and warranty package.
- Provide support to sales reps with pre-sale site visits to define project scope and ensure the scope of work is reflected in pricing and contract documents.
- Supports installation leadership on recruitment of installation sub-contractors.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects with strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Working knowledge of computer programs (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Ability to communicate clearly, both verbal and written to Customers.
- Demonstrated ability to confidently handle confrontation/conflicts using a tactful and diplomatic approach; Ability to maintain perspective under demanding conditions
- Demonstrated analytical problem solving and decision-making skills; follow systematic approach in situational analysis and definition; arrive at acceptable solutions
- Two years of finishing carpentry & three years of general carpentry experience.
- Two or more years of window & door installation experience.
- Knowledge of advanced construction techniques; good knowledge of basic construction, building materials, and building codes; knowledge of terminology of the construction industry
- A minimum of 7 years of work experience in the building industry or other closely related field.
- Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record
- Andersen installation experience strongly preferred.
- Andersen product knowledge preferred
- Knowledge of Andersen Quoting Tools preferred
- Ability to perform blueprint reading and read a tape measure and a level, and do basic arithmetic
- Ability to climb a ladder to measure 2nd story / clerestory openings and lift up to 100 pounds
SALARY INFORMATION:
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. In addition to your pay, Andersen Corporation currently offers benefits such as comprehensive health benefits, 401k contribution, paid time off, 8 paid standard holidays, plus 2 floating holidays, a robust employee Wellbeing program, as well as profit sharing (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
