SUMMARY
Oversees and performs technical review of project designs for proposed projects and prepares preliminary budget information from material take-offs. Provides overall project management, coordinates the activities in evaluating contractor and consultant bids and contracts, and prepares selection criteria for hiring consultants and contractors. Enforces contract provisions and resolves budgetary, technical and scheduling issues for assigned projects. Makes periodic on-site inspections of projects to ensure construction is proceeding properly. May prepare or oversee the preparation of Review for Proposals, project specifications, or other bidding documents. Coordinates the activities in space planning, forecasting and assignment relative to staffing and space needs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Manage the relationship with key stakeholders to ensure common understanding of needs, options and deliverables.
· Responsible for coordinating with other teams and applications as necessary to resolve schedule and other interdependency issues.
· Completes tasks and assignments in a timely manner and in accordance with applicable rules, regulations, policies, procedures, guidelines, standards, directives, etc.
· Ensures that potential contractors are thoroughly investigated and their past work is examined to ensure that past contracts have been upheld and work has been performed to prescribed standards.
· Verifies funding sources, correctly maintains project budgets, and confers regularly with appropriate parties to reconcile budgeted amounts with expensed amounts, as applicable.
· Coordinates meetings, establishes agendas and records accurate minutes of meetings.
· Shows persistence and seeks alternatives when obstacles arise; seeks alternative solutions; does things before being asked or forced to by events.
· Works within the system in a resourceful manner to accomplish reasonable work goals; shows flexibility in response to process change and adapts to and accommodates new methods and procedures.
· Reviews contract plans and specifications for compliance with appropriate codes and project requirements.
· Provide direction and decision making for problem resolutions.
· Effectively manage trade-offs between cost/schedule versus customer benefit.
· Responsible for risk and issue management and appropriate escalation.
· Coordinate post project review of project disciplines with a view to improve future project performance.
· Tracking and managing project spend against the approved project budget and give early warning of variances to the stakeholders and management.
· Defines and manages project activities, sequences of milestones, dependencies and duration of tasks required to complete the project on time and within budget.
· Ensure the objectives were accomplished in accordance with outlined priorities.
· Attends educational programs and professional meetings as requested.
· Participates in regular meetings of available and applicable professional organizations.
QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelors Degree in Business or Technology related to Facilities Management.
· 3-5 years of experience in technical / project management role.
· Demonstrated sound project management skills, methodologies and experience.
· Indirect supervisory experience related to assigned accountabilities.
· Skilled in prioritizing, planning and scheduling resources.
· Ability to foster a cooperative work environment, lead teams and be a team member.
· Possess sound problem solving skills with ability to investigate, analyze information, draw conclusions and make recommendations.
· Solid P.C. skills with proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit,Excel, Word, Microsoft Project
· Knowledge of codes pertinent to facilities planning, design, construction, and maintenance. Knowledge of facilities maintenance principles, procedures, and standards.
· Ability to interface at all levels of the organization, and work collaboratively with business partners.
