SUMMARY
Provide technical expertise, project management, and leadership in designing and building machines and equipment. Lead cross-functional teams of technicians, engineers, operators, and safety representatives throughout the design, build, qualification, and installation phases of a project.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Foster a growth-oriented environment and continuous improvement by challenging and improving existing processes
- Support and implement solutions to enhance the effectiveness of the equipment design and build operations of the assets manufactured
- Communicate performance standards and expectations to individuals and team; recognize and reward individual and team accomplishments and address performance issues
- Coordinate the purchase of raw materials and components through machining, fabrication, and equipment assembly processes
- Identify, implement, and monitor appropriate key performance indicators (KPIs) to track project and team performance
- Collaborate with engineering, safety, and maintenance teams to deliver shop and equipment build process improvements
- Partner with engineering and internal customer teams on design for manufacturability, process capability, safety assessment, and equipment run-offs
- Collaborate effectively with outside vendors, ensuring their work aligns with our quality standards and project timelines
- Assist with team member selection, performance reviews, and administration of work policy
- Help establish, monitor, analyze, and control the department budget
- Demonstrate continued personal growth and development
- Foster professional relationships within the team to maintain high morale and secure efficient operations
- Implement and uphold the company's policies and programs with integrity and dedication
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Engineering Degree or 2-year technical degree
- 4-8 years in machine design, build, troubleshooting and / or related fields of work
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision making, and human relation skills
- Highly motivated and able to work and lead in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong oral and written communication skills
NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
- State electrical license
- Autodesk Inventor experience
- Machinist background
- Automation equipment sales background

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
