SUMMARY:
- Proficient in operating all P15 workstations with in the Value Stream (to be determined by individual Value Streams; see individual value stream workstations by assembly area). Performs on the job training for assembly positions. Coaches, trains, and supports work center employees using “Tell-Show-Do-Review” training method.
- Advanced knowledge of product, process, and customer’s expectations within the value streams. (upstream and downstream of the process).
- Performs changeovers to defined standards to meet product specifications.
- Analyze production data and make necessary adjustments to the operation of assembly related equipment.
- Communicate skip (part shortages, description checks, units at repair, etc.) and remake information to work cell team members, Leads, and/or Supervisors in a timely manner to mitigate disruptions to meeting customer demand.
- Understands safety requirements and works within the parameters defined to protect the equipment, facility, and coworkers.
- Actively participates in root-cause analysis using PDCA thinking for any non-adherence to standards throughout the cost center.
- Actively engages with Maintenance and the Engineering team on setup & equipment improvements for new & existing machines.
- Works within Standard work, JBA’s, control plans, work instructions and quality specifications. Works with support staff on keeping standard work documents current and relevant to defined output.
- Responsible to follow all safety requirements in regards to behavior and conditions. Report all safety non-adherences to safety guidelines and procedures in a timely manner.
- Provide input to Supervisor and Lead in regard to employee performance during new hire training or employee cross training. Ensures safety and quality standards are met when training new employees/cross-training current employees.
- Use measuring tools for managing product quality within defined parameters of the standard work and quality documentation.
- Support a respectful workplace environment. Support and participate in Employee Engagement activities.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience in assembly.
- Basic computer skills.
- PIT training, if needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and stand for long periods.
- Ability to read and understand training documents and a requirement to cross-train/train in several work cells.
- Strong communication, teamwork, problem solving and leadership skills.
- Provide and receive feedback.
- Dependability/punctuality.
- Attend “Train the Trainer” and “Tell-Show-Do-Review” training courses, and have proficiency using the tools.
- Intermediate AMS knowledge (CI Cards, Documentation, Run Charts, etc.)

- Must be able to stand for 10 hrs
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
