RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recruit, hire, and onboard new employees with minimal to no guidance
- Develop shorter term strategic direction for area of responsibility; translate strategy into actions for team to carry out
- Execute projects to carry out team strategy
- Provide direct leadership to team
- Provide indirect leadership to other support functions (matrix organization)
- Provide coaching, feedback and development to team, promoting career growth opportunities
- Ensure the desired work quality levels are achieved through use of standard work and training to those standards, and use of tools/data
- Leads a medium sized team consisting of quality professionals such as technicians, coaches, and inspectors. May include adjacent areas such as training, compliance, or other technical groups
- 5+ years of quality experience and 2+ years of experience leading a team or equivalent combination of formalized technical education and experience
Demonstrated ability to coach employees and teach technical information to new employee Prepare department budgets
Solid understanding of adjacent functional areas that interact with core function and opportunities for collaboration between teams
Established and demonstrated ability to communicate and gain buy in from others. Effective and collaborative listener in small and large group settings
Established ability to motivate and inspire others
Experience in managing teamwork, interpersonal conflict, and collaboration effectively
Demonstrated ability to coach train and develop others
Establish an environment conducive to high levels of inclusion, morale, associate satisfaction, and performance
