The Knowledge Management Content Writers are responsible for researching, formulating, and meticulously editing technical content. Their expertise lies in simplifying intricate processes and concepts, creating well-defined documentation accessible to associates and customers, and enabling them to access precise and efficient solutions. The scope of their publications encompasses diverse audiences and may encompass product and/or part drawings, graphics, service manuals, field communications, accessory instructions, supplements, addendums, and other essential documents. The Knowledge Management Content Writer II may mentor Knowledge Management Content Writer I by reviewing work performed by others and consulting on recommendations for improvement for clarity and accuracy, motivating and inspiring other team members.
POSITION PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize the content management system proficiently to maintain product and website data regularly.
- Ensure adherence to established, customer-directed document format and quality style guides, ensuring consistency in presentation, tone, and style, catering to diverse audiences.
- Skillfully document and maintain Guided Help pathways using flow charts.
- Efficiently manage multiple tasks concurrently to meet deadlines and deliver prompt results.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and processes and employ them judiciously in daily tasks.
- Embrace the latest ideas, tools, and team vision; identify innovative opportunities to eliminate waste in processes and systems.
- Acquire or create relevant illustrations, photographs, or graphic components using various tools to enhance the material effectively.
- Proactively initiate communication with Product Specialists, Service Leaders, Legal, and other relevant stakeholders to gather essential material and insights for assigned writing tasks.
POSITION MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; comparable work experience considered.
- Minimum three (3) years of direct customer contact experience.
- Minimum three (3) years technical writing experience.
· Ability to comprehend technical and non-technical information and transform it into useable, understandable information for the intended audience.
POSITION NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Exceptional creativity, attention to detail, and top-notch organizational and project management skills to manage multiple priorities in a complex environment.
- Advanced interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate both verbally and written.
- Data-driven: You constantly evaluate what our customers are looking for, what is working and what is not, and adjust content strategy accordingly.
- Strong PC and keyboarding skills are required. Knowledge of MS Office, Flow Chat Applications, Adobe Applications (FrameMaker, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat), and Outlook is preferred.
COMPENSATION:
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $27.25 - $39.55/hour.
